About PeTrace
We're building the global standard for pet identity — because every pet deserves a verified record that follows them anywhere on earth.
The problem
Every year, millions of pets are lost, stolen, or separated from their owners at borders. The systems meant to help — physical vaccination booklets, paper health certificates, national microchip registries — are fragmented, outdated, and only work in one country.
A vet in Thailand can't look up a dog registered in Germany. A shelter in Singapore can't verify a cat's vaccination history. An airline can't confirm travel documents without the original paper. The result is delay, confusion, and millions of reunions that never happen.
Our solution
PeTrace is a single global registry that links every pet to a verified digital profile via their ISO-standard microchip ID and a QR collar tag. Any vet, shelter, airport, or border authority can access the full, verified record in seconds — from any device, anywhere in the world.
When a vet adds a vaccination, it's immediately visible on the pet's profile with a verified badge. When an owner uploads a health certificate, border control can pull it digitally without the physical paper. When a pet goes missing, the owner can mark it lost and anyone who scans the QR tag can reach them instantly.
The vision
We believe physical pet passports will be obsolete within a decade — just as physical airline boarding passes are now. PeTrace is building the infrastructure layer that replaces them: a single, trusted, globally accessible digital identity for every pet on earth.
Privacy & security
All personal data is encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. Owner contact information is never publicly exposed — it's only shown on a pet's public profile when the pet has been marked as lost. Professional access is admin-approved and audit-logged.
